Mickey & Minnie

How about another pair of shoes? Sounds lovely. This pair sports that sweet cartoon couple, Mickey and Minnie. This particular pair of shoes was designed in the same fashion as the I Love Lucy shoes I did way back in October... Of last year. Wow. That was a long time ago. Seriously? Almost a year ago! How is it that years always fly by so quickly. It seems as if I am always trying to catch up on what month and year it is, and never do. But I have digressed. Back to the shoes... Notice how I used the two patterns on the sides of the shoes to tie in, the simple lines behind the names and mice in the front, and even the attitude of the mice and names. These are all extremely similar to what I did with the I Love Lucy pair. Also, something new, rather then signing the back of the shoes in a completely stodgy manner, I took the same font as the names in the front. I rather like the small bit of character it gives the back. The signature always seemed so priggish. You will be seeing this on a lot more of my shoes in the future. And there you have it!
